Ryan Ogam rising in Austrian League

Kenya’s rising football talent Ryan Ogam is settling into European football faster than he expected.
The 20-year-old forward recently joined Wolfsberger AC in the Austrian Bundesliga, calling the move a major step forward in his career.

Speaking during the Harambee Stars training camp in Nairobi, Ogam described his new life abroad as exciting and full of learning.

“Life there is good,” he said. “From training to team culture, everyone has been supportive.
My first 15 minutes on the pitch were intense, but I’m adjusting well.
My focus now is to score that first goal — once it comes, more will follow.”

Ogam’s early days in Austria have been eye-opening.
He admits that the European league is more organized and professional than Kenya’s.
Still, he believes local football is improving fast.

“Austria is more professional,” he noted. “In Kenya, we’re catching up quickly.
We have great talent and passion, and I believe we’ll soon close that gap.”

Ogam to his supporters

Ogam thanked his supporters back home for their constant encouragement.
He said their messages of hope push him to do better every time he plays.

At Wolfsberger AC, Ogam feels valued by his coaches and teammates.
He says that trust gives him confidence to deliver on the field.

His season target is to score 10 goals before the campaign ends.
But for now, he wants to focus on getting that all-important first goal.

“Once that first one goes in, the rest will come naturally,” he said confidently.

Ogam also urged Kenyans to rally behind the Harambee Stars as they prepare for the World Cup qualifiers.
He believes teamwork and national unity will be key to success.

As he continues his journey in Austria, Ogam carries not only his dreams but also the hopes of millions of Kenyans who believe in his potential.
