It is with humble acceptance of God that we the Family of Tuntera Matagaro announce the demise of our loving Matriarch Baba Yukabed Bwari Tuntera Nyakundi due to old age.
Beloved daughter of Late Mzee Sagati Getenga and Mama late Kemunto Nyarienga. Wife of Late Mzee Elijah Nyakundi Tuntera Matagaro of Chibwobi Village Gesusu Sub-location, Nyaribari Masaba Sub-county Kisii County.
Sister of Moraa, Metobo, Patroba Okeyo, Mong’era, Onsare, Morike, Kemuma, Nyabasa, Pr. Joshua Nyakeriga, Onchuru. Hezron Getenga, Ngote, Nyamao Sagati, Bosire Sagati, Matundura, Kennedy, Metobo Benson, Aruya, Anunda and many others who are all late.
Loving mother of Late Peter Nyansikera, Christopher Nyaega, Meshack Nyakundi, Late Monica Kemunto, Norah Nyaboke, Late Naom Nyanchama, Nelson Nyamweya, Ebisiba Masese, Dorca Mogunde, Grace Nyamanga, Joyce Kerubo, James Obebo and Samuel Guku. Her step sons were: Jairo Matagaro and Abel Moruri. Co-wife of Ann Matoke, Mong’ina Machani, Nyang’ara Omae, Kerubo Maranga, Nyambuche Omae, Moraa Onwonga, Priscah Machani and many others.
In-law of Matoke Matagaro, Machani Matagaro, Omae Matagaro, Omwenga Matagaro, Menge Matagaro, Maranga Matagaro, Omae Guku, Onwonga Guku, Machani Guku, Minda Okongo, Kerubo, Ebisiba Masese Nyakundi and many others.

Mother in law of Mary,Violet, Late Hellen, Caren, Flora, Moraa, Manyara Oanda, Zablon Omare, Meshack Onguti, Peter Manwa, and many others. Late bwari was grandmother of 58 grandchildren, great grandmother of 80 children and great great grandmother to 1 child.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Gesusu, Chibwobi and at her sons home in Ongata Rongai, Hills View estate along Kifaru Lane from 5pm to 7pm.
A Church service will be held on Thursday 18th December 2025 at SDA Church Laiser Hill Ongata Rongai from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
The cortege leaves to her home on 21st December 2025 followed by interment on 22nd December 2025 at Chibwobi Village, Gesusu Location, Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County.
